Shopping in Innsbruck

The main shopping centres in Innsbruck include the centrally located Rathaus Gallerien, along with the nearby malls of DEZ-Einkaufszentrum and Einkaufcenter Sillpark.

However, to combine shopping with sightseeing, take a stroll around the Old Town area, and along the pedestrianised thoroughfare of Maria Theresien Strasse, and also the Herzog Friedrich Strasse.

Further shops in the city centre are clustered around the Anichstrasse, Franziskanerplatz and Sparkassenplatz, and throughout the historical Pradl district, where Neo-Roman architecture abounds.

Close to Innsbruck and within the neighboring village of Neu-Rum are a number of converted shopping warehouses, well worth exploring if you have the time.

Do bear in mind that many shops close at lunchtime on Saturday (or close at 17:00 on the first Saturday each month), not opening again until 09:00 on Monday morning.
